Through the Woods is a children's book publisher telling stories as wonderfully varied as the kids who read them — with plenty of giggles and the occasional happy tear (that one's for the grown-ups).

The best stories don't take the shortcut — they take the scenic route, right through the woods. That's where the adventure is. It's also where we found our name.
Through the Woods Publishing makes picture books that meet kids where they are and show them who they can be. We believe every child deserves to open a book and find someone who looks like them, loves like their family loves, and celebrates like their people celebrate.
Our books lead with heart and humor in equal measure — because the fastest way to a kid's heart is a good laugh, and the fastest way to a parent's is watching their kid see themselves on the page.
Have you always wanted to write a children's book but don't know where to start? You're in the right woods.
We work with first-time and aspiring authors to shape, polish, and publish stories that matter — yours included. Tell us a little about your idea, and let's take the first step together.
→ Fill out the form and we'll schedule a Zoom to talk it through.
