About the Author

Whitney Mixter

Whitney Mixter is a storyteller, artist, and mom who has spent much of her life following curiosity wherever it leads.

Fez the Imperfect Peach was created from Whitney’s desire to tell the kinds of stories that help children see themselves—and the things that make them different—with a little more love. Written and illustrated by Whitney, Fez carries a simple idea she hopes her son—and every child—takes with them as they grow: the things that make us different aren’t flaws to overcome. They’re part of what makes us beautifully, unmistakably ourselves.

Whitney lives in Los Angeles with her son, Mecca, who remains one of her greatest sources of inspiration, imagination, and everyday wonder.
